Andrew Levin is a Partner and Managing Director on the Investment Team at RA Capital Management and spearheads a drug discovery effort that has led to the formation of several new companies. Beginning in 2012, and prior to joining the Investment Manager, he was a Vice President at H.I.G. BioVentures. Previously he served as the Director of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the Clinton Health Access Initiative. He holds a BSE in Mechanical Engineering from Princeton University, a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and an MD from Harvard Medical School.

Josh Resnick is a Senior Managing Director at RA Capital Management. Josh’s primary responsibility at RA Capital is to lead early-stage private investments in and oversee the creation of new companies developing drugs, medical devices, diagnostics, and research tools. Josh holds a BA in Chemistry from Williams College, an MD from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, and an MBA from the Wharton School of Business. He has more than 15 years of experience in investing, company formation, and company leadership across all stages of drug development, from discovery through commercialization. Josh was previously co-lead of SV Health Investors’ US Biotech practice where he was responsible for SV’s US venture creation activities, including its incubator, Brahma Discovery. Before SV, Josh was President and Managing Partner at MRL Ventures Fund, the early-stage therapeutics-focused corporate venture fund within Merck & Co. Prior to MRL Ventures, Josh was a Venture Partner with Atlas Venture and a Partner at Prism Venture Partners, focusing on company formation and seed and Series A investing. Josh is currently a faculty member at Harvard Medical School and continues to practice medicine as an attending physician in the Department of Emergency Medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital.

Aiden Aceves is a Vice President on the investments team at Insight. He joined the firm in 2021 to focus on investments in therapeutics and enabling technologies. Aiden was previously an associate at Vida Ventures, where he worked in the firm’s LA office making investments in innovative cell and gene therapy companies. Prior to becoming an investor, Aiden worked on founding and operating biotechnology companies in San Diego California, where he is based.

Aiden traces his academic lineage to Caltech, where he earned his doctorate in the lab of Dr. Steven Mayo, a leader in the space of computational protein engineering. Aiden received his B.S. in synthetic chemistry from the University of California, Riverside.

Ari Nowacek, M.D, Ph.D. is a Partner with both ARCH Venture Partners and AN Venture Partners. Dr. Nowacek focuses on identifying and evaluating new life sciences technologies and also provides operating assistance to early-stage portfolio companies. He was instrumental in the development of ROME Therapeutics and Walden Biosciences. Dr. Nowacek is a physician-scientist by training with over 20 peer-reviewed publications and greater than 400 citations in the areas of neuroscience, virology, and antiretroviral therapeutic development. His research has led to 3 issued and 2 pending patents for therapeutic and R&D applications.

He holds a B.S. in Biology and a B.S. in Psychology from the University of Indiana-Bloomington where he graduated Magna Cum Laude and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. He also holds an M.D. and Ph.D. from the University of Nebraska Medical Center and an M.B.A. from the University of Nebraska-Omaha. He subsequently completed a medical residency in pathology and post-doctoral research at The University of Chicago and Massachusetts General Hospital.

Eric is focused on identifying disruptive tech­nolo­gies that have the potential to open new frontiers in healthcare. With an emphasis on drug development and medical tech­nolo­gies, he works closely with entre­pre­neurs to build companies whose mission is to advance the practice of medicine and promote human health.

Prior to joining DCVC Bio, Eric was a Partner at Novo Ventures where he established and managed the firm’s public equities strategy focused on SMID-Cap and late-stage private companies in biotech and medtech. Earlier in his career, Eric was a Director at Apposite Capital and an Associate at Burrill & Company. Having initially trained as a structural biologist, he served as a Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Post-Doctoral Fellow. Eric received a bachelor’s degree in biophysics from Johns Hopkins University and a PhD in molecular biology from Princeton University.
