Science to Startup (S2S) Japan 2024

November 8, 2024 | Tokyo, JAPAN

Our first ever S2S Japan symposium on Friday, November 8 was a resounding success with almost 200 attendees networking and exchanging views during the day.

Participants commented positively on the quality of the science, the creativity and dedication of the researchers and the range of the content presented by the symposium. “This rivalled anything we have done in our decade of S2S events in the US”, said one of the co-founders of the original American S2S program.

We would particularly like to thank our six finalists, all Japanese scientists and academics, who presented their cutting-edge research – and overcame their nerves to do so clearly, comprehensively…and in English!
We also wish to pay a tribute to our US VC mentors and organizers who prepared our finalists for several months behind the scenes and asked insightful questions on the day.
